Many waters cannot quench love,
neither can the floods drown it
Set me as a seal upon your heart,*
as a seal upon your arm;
For love is stronger than death passion fierce as the grave;*
its flashes are flashes of fire, a raging flame.
Many waters cannot quench love,*
neither can the floods drown it.
If all the wealth of our house were offered for love,*
it would be utterly scorned.
Many waters cannot quench love,
neither can the floods drown it. [Songs of Songs 8.6-7]
Exhausted body!
Sheer weight;
crushing,
forcing,
down,
you.
I want to set you, as a seal upon my heart. The busyness of life so often makes me fall - away from you. Help me rise above chores and cares – finding the sacred you, in all I do.
The ninth station confronts me.
with the painful reality
of your sacrifice and my lack of faith.
As your sacred heart, moves closer
to the heart of your passion;
I see your love is stronger than death,
your passion fierce as the grave
Strengthen in me,
a true desire for you.
