STATION I

Christ committed no sin,
no guile was found on his lips.

Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example*
that you should follow in his steps.
He committed no sin, no guile was found on his lips*
when he was reviled, he did not revile in return.

When he suffered, he did not threaten*
But he trusted in God who judges justly.
Christ himself bore our sins in his body on the tree*
that we might die to sin and live to righteousness.

Christ committed no sin,
no guile was found on his lips
 [1 Peter 2. 21-24]

Where have all your friends gone?
Abandoned by all, you turn,
alone,
towards the heart of your passion.

I abandon and condemn, when irrational fears make me discourteous with those who worship you differently from me. Help me to respond in loving, unifying ways.

In this first station,
I want you to draw me in Lord,
to hold my feeble faith firmly,
Embracing me gently,
with my brothers and sisters in Christ
to the heart of your compassion,

So immerse us in your passion,
that we might die to sin
and live to righteousness.
Then through us, the world will start to see,
a unifying church, proclaiming your love to all.
