Why ask for the prayers of the church?

Prayer is at the heart of our community. It is one of the primary functions of any parish church to offer up prayers to God on behalf of the whole world. This action is at the very heart of the Eucharist which is celebrated on a regular basis, week by week in St Paul’s Church. Please see the web site calendar for details of dates and times.

Prayer is having a conversation with God. Jesus teaches us that we should regard God as our Father, and speak to him with the same intimacy that we would talk to our close families and friends. We are constantly offering up prayers on a daily basis for the world, our country, our community and our families and friends.
