Administrator for St Paul’s Community Centre


The purpose of the role is to support the Parochial Church Council of St Paul’s Church Goodmayes in the management of the Community Centre, to ensure maximum use of the space by the local community, and optimum income generation for the church while maintaining a safe environment for all who visit and work there.


£3,822.00 p.a. in the first instance,

rising to £4004.00 p.a. on satisfactory completion of the probationary period.

Hours of Work:

7 hours per week, ideally on Tuesday and Friday mornings. 

Other timings may be considered.


The job is based in the office of the Community Centre, Barley Lane, IG3 8XE.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Proven organisational and administrative skills
  • Good written communication skills in English, including ability to draft formal letters
  • Excellent oral communication skills in English, demonstrating ability to relate well to the full range of people in our diverse community
  • Competent word processing skills, including use of Word and Excel programmes
  • Good numeracy skills
  • A track record of reliability and trustworthiness
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous Customer Service experience is desirable
